Autumn Jean Little, age 19, of Boone, Iowa, passed away tragically in a car accident on June 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and a heart full of compassion.
Born on March 27, 2006, to Marissa Hagen, Autumn experienced an early and profound loss when her mother passed away in a car accident when Autumn was just two years old. She was lovingly adopted and raised by her maternal grandparents, David and Connie Little, who nurtured her into the remarkable young woman she became.
Autumn was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Boone. She graduated from Boone High School in 2024 and had big dreams for her future. She was a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, where her natural compassion and caring heart shone through in every patient she cared for. Autumn planned to pursue a career in nursing, driven by her love for helping others and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Autumn had many passions. She participated in dance, cheerleading, and tennis during school. She was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast and proudly owned two Audis. She loved to shop and had an eye for fashion and style. More than anything, Autumn dreamed of becoming a mother and a wife-a role she looked forward to with all her heart.
Autumn had a vibrant spirit. She was goofy and playful, always able to make others laugh and feel at ease. She lit up every room she entered and had a gift for standing up for those who needed a voice. She was a loyal friend, always there for others in times of need. Autumn was beautiful-inside and out-and had a presence that made people feel loved, safe, and seen. She had a deep love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marissa Hagen; her grandfather, Charles Hagen; and her great-grandparents, Kenneth and Gretchen Leininger.
Autumn is survived by her loving parents, David and Connie Little; her uncle Kenneth Hagen; cousin Ashton Hagen; her aunt and uncle Kira Cheville and Jordan Vinnece (Kami and Kace); her aunt and uncle Lindsey and Jared Nevins (JayDe and Lovelyn); her brother Hunter Miller; great-aunt Paula Haase; godmothers Mary Phipps and Gracia Abrahamsen; her grandmother Sara Cheville; her aunt and uncle Jennifer Nigh and Rod Bush; her uncle Garry Little; her boyfriend Grant Trainor; her cat Lula belle; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her deeply.
Though her time here was far too short, Autumn's love, laughter, and light will remain with us always.
