AVE “MARIA” ADLER
February 29, 1952 ˜ November 9, 2025
Ave “Maria” Adler (Vann), 73, of Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Maria was on February 29, 1952, in Vancouver, Washington. She was a member of the FVHS’s Class of 1970. After many years at the iconic Luepke Florist in Vancouver, she became part and later the full owner, running it with her husband, and retiring in 2014.
In 1975, Maria married the love of her life, Alan Adler, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past June with family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Adler; her children, Phillip Falter (Drew) and Allison Bennett (Curtis); grandchildren Nichole and Jacob; and her siblings, Dolores Grindle, Richard Grindle, Douglas Jorg and Jeannie Domingo.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026 in Vancouver, Washington, where friends and family can gather to honor and remember Maria’s beautiful life. See https://tinyurl.com/mariaadler for more information.

People come and go in our lives, but friendship like Maria shared with love and compassion, is a rare trait to find. We held that friendship dear. She will forever be close to our hearts, and never far away in spirit. Her smile is forever .

Maria was family for over fifty years and will be greatly missed. She was fun to be around, always positive even facing cancer and above all she loved her family.

Maria was a pretty special lady. She was a wonderful wife, friend, mom to her two kids and adored her grandchildren. I know she has left a huge hole in every ones heart.Her talents were amazing! I remember all the baking for the Christmas holiday she would do. I was always amazed. I was lucky to get a few recipes from her. There was nothing she couldn't do. If she didn't know how, she would find a way and make it happen. Maria, you are missed and I am grateful to have been your sis in law for so many years.
