Avis Witt Cato
June 15, 1934 - March 14, 2026
With heavy hearts and deep love, we remember Avis.
She spent her life spreading kindness, gentleness, wisdom and mostly the love of Christ.
She was a dedicated teacher and pastor's wife serving in the ministry for over 40 years, but more importantly she adored her family. She was a beacon of patience and faithfulness towards her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband John, two daughters Celesta Marie Williams and Melody Rickford along with their husbands Christopher Williams and Trevor Rickford and her grandchildren Jacqueline Williams, Matthew Rickford and Joshua Rickford. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, John Mark Cato and David Matthew Cato who went to be with the Lord in 1983.
Thank you for celebrating and remembering Avis with us today.
