Avis is survived by his mother, Mary Ware; wife, Schwayla Ware; daughter, Avianna Ware; sons, Clayton Ware and Donte Ware; sister, Constance Mims; brother, George Ware, Kenneth Ware, and Toby Ware; and grandchildren, Kaden Ware, Waylon Ray, Avanni Ware, Kendrick Ware, and Avery Ware; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I was so sad to get this news about Avis. I remember him so well from Bennett, where he was a great student and athlete. He was kind to all and warmed my heart with his smile. Toby and Mary, I also have many wonderful memories of you and will keep all of you in my prayers.

Sending my deepest condolences across the miles to the Ware family. It was truly an honor to coach Avis as a member of the Bennett Trojans basketball team. He was a hard worker, a true competitor, and a loyal teammate. He represented his school in an exemplary manner both on and off the court. I will never forget his smile and can still hear his wonderful laughter in my mind. He treated everyone with kindness and respect and was a fan favorite of our elementary and junior high students. He will sadly be missed and was a true Bennett Trojan. Rest in peace, my friend!
