Funeral Services for Joyce Betts Ware, age 95, will be held Monday January 26 at 11:00 AM at Climax Baptist Church in Climax Georgia. A private burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday January 25 at Climax Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Pallbearers will be Sam Fitzgerald, Bailey Thomas, Carter Thomas, Justin Williams, Sheldon Morrison and Tyler Beaty.
Joyce was born February 10th, 1930 in Chattahoochee, Fl, the daughter of Ausmus Outler Betts and Sybil Blair Betts.
She graduated from Climax High School and went on to complete Nursing Training at Chattahoochee State Hospital where she earned an LPN degree.
She married Samuel Eugene (Gene) Ware on February 11,1949, and they made their home in Quincy Florida until moving to Climax, Ga.
She worked at Gadsden Memorial Hospital, Dr. Wright in Havana, Fl. and Dr. T.W. Griffin in Quincy, Fl. She left nursing to work in the family business of Ware and Son Auto & Farm Supply, until they retired in 2000.
She was a dedicated member of Climax Baptist Church, an ultimate prayer warrior, a loving friend, and her Ministry was the telephone. She devoted her life first and foremost to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she was a humble and faithful servant, and had an unfailing love for her family, that was always evident through her words and actions.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene Ware, brother and sister in law Ausmus and Ruth Betts, sisters and brothers in law Gwendolyn and Dutch Wingate, Jean and Archie Fuller and brother Ralph Betts.
Survivors include her beloved son, Allen Ware and wife Flecia of Climax, Ga; granddaughters Tracy Fitzgerald and husband Charlie of Gillette Wyoming; Amy Thomas and husband Joey of Climax, Ga; great-grandchildren Madison Morrison and husband Sheldon of Climax, Ga; Bailey Thomas and wife Maddie of Climax, Ga. Allie Grace Fitzgerald and Sam, both of Spartanburg, S.C and Carter Thomas of Climax, Ga. Great Great-Grandchildren Brayleigh Kate Thomas, and one in the oven, Eden Renee Morrison.
