Azalea Grace Stabile

Azalea Grace Stabile, beloved daughter of Abigail Smith and Brok Stabile, was born on January 2, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital. She departed this world peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Though her time with us was brief, she brought profound joy and love to those who knew her during her seven weeks of life.

In her short time, Azalea taught her parents the immeasurable value of life itself and the true meaning of unconditional love. Her presence was a testament to resilience and strength, and she inspired all who knew her to cherish each moment and never take anything for granted. Her first smile provided a beacon of light during their darkest days, a testament to her enduring spirit and the profound impact she had on those who loved her dearly.

Azalea is survived by her devoted parents, Abigail Smith and Brok Stabile; maternal grandparents, Melissa Smith and Eric Hercules; paternal grandparents, Amy (Richard) Bojo and Jesse Stabile; cherished great-grandparents, Pam Hercules and Dolores (Llyod) Bassney; and loving uncles, Maddoc Stabile, Finn Bojo, and Greyson Bojo.

Azalea is now free from pain, having left behind a legacy of love that will forever bloom in the hearts of her family and friends. She was, indeed, a seed to a beautiful flower.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, located at 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, from 12 pm until time of services at 3 pm.
