B. Sharon Brady, 77, of Gassaway passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a chronic illness.
She was born in Gassaway on January 13, 1948, a daughter of the late, Beulah Booth Hacker and Arley Hacker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Jack and John Hacker; sisters, Roberta "Jean" Brown, Sue Friend and Libby Ferguson.
Sharon was a Christian by faith and loved going to church. She had a sweet personality and had many friends. She enjoyed reading anything that had letters. Her church family at Spruce Grove meant the world to her. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her own family and having get togethers to eat. She will also be remembered by her work colleagues and patients at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 61 years, Jim Brady; sons, Pat Brady and wife, Sandra, of Chapel, and Mike" Brady and wife, Lisa, of Elkview; grandchildren, Allison Brady, Brandon Brady and wife, Katie, and Danielle Brady; sisters, Lula Mae Peters of Phenix City, AL and Carolyn "Skinny" Patrick of Gassaway; brother-in-law, David Brady and wife, Wanda; and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon's funeral will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.
Burial will follow in the Hacker Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
