On the morning of Thursday, November 14, 2024, Baldemar went to be with the Lord. He was born July 27, 1965, in Lubbock to Baldemar Buentello Sr. and Helen Flores. He was the twin brother to his sister, Helen Rivera, and grew up surrounded by the warmth and guidance of his grandparents, Robert and Elena Flores who played a significant role in shaping the man he became. On September 13, 2000, Guero married Cynthia Casarez, cherishing twenty-four years of a loving marriage.
As a talented handyman, Guero specialized in fencing flooring, tiling, cabinets, and painting, taking pride in his craft and leaving a mark of excellence in all he undertook. His work ethic matched his zest for life, as he enjoyed making homes and spaces more beautiful for those around him.
In addition to his career, Guero had a profound love for music, finding joy in all forms, whether it was Spanish ballads, rock anthems, rap beats, or soulful R&B. He could often be found playing his music loudly, filling every room with rhythm and happiness. His passion for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech football, coupled with his vivacious spirit, made him a vibrant presence among his family and friends.
However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his whole world. Baldamar "Guero" Buentello Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion that resonates deeply within the hearts of those who knew him. As family and friends navigate the days ahead, they will carry his spirit with them, remembering the laughter, the music, and the unwavering bond that will forever connect them.
