Bambi Guidry Obituary

Bambi Guidry, 46, of Prairieville, passed away Aug. 10, 2016 while enjoying a cruise with her family, she lost her battle to cancer. Bambi was born in Baton Rouge, graduated from Tara High School in Baton Rouge, worked all her life in the mortgage industry and was employed with GMFS Financial for the past several years. Mrs. Guidry leaves behind to cherish her memory; her husband Randy Guidry, her sons Blake Guidry, Evan Guidry, Austin Guidry, step sons Scott Guidry and Steven Guidry. Her mother Leona Hodges, sisters Mary Hodges, Annette Phillips and Julie Hodges. Her brothers Doc Hodges, Wesley Hodges and Chris Hodges and 2 grandchildren. Mrs. Guidry is preceded in death by her daughter Magan Ann Bryant, her father Samuel Hodges, and her brother Jason Hodges. Visitation will begin Sunday Aug. 14th at 5 to 9 pm in Ourso Funeral Home and Monday, Aug. 15th from 9:15am to service time of 11am at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, Fr. Jerry Martin will officiate Mass of Christian Burial, interment will follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum in Prairieville. Services are being handled by Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales, friends who may not be able to attend my leave words of condolences at our website, www.oursofh.com

It's been hard without seeing that smile and hearing that beautiful voice !!! Can't stop thinking that if my heart is this broken sis, can't even imagine what Randy, Austin, Evan, and Blake feel!!! They adored you, and I know you will always be right by them watching over them.

Randy, Austin, Evan and Blake I am so sorry for your loss. I met Bambi many, many years ago and both of us having cancer at the same time brought us back together again. She was truly an amazing woman and will always treasure our friendship we had. Although I don't know any of you personally, she loved all of you very much. She was truly a loving, giving individual and will me surely missed each and every day. Fly high Brambler, fly high, till we meet again.

Randy and family. We were so sad to hear that Bambi passed away. And our Thoughts and prayers are with you. It was because of Bambi that I got checked and I had cancer. I was able to go on and I am truly greatfull for her encouragement. She is truly a blessing to me and my family. And now she is a sweet angel in heaven.

I never met Bambi in person but worked with her as a correspondent lender. She was always cheerful and helpful. Our loss is heavens gain. We had fun giving each other a hard time over football. I would say Roll Tide and she would say Geaux Tigers.

I worked with Bambi at Regions in Paducah. Bambi was an excellent employee and a friend. She talked constantly about her family and it was obvious she loves you very much. The world has lost a good one and I wish all the family my condolences.

Your light will never diminish because it will continue to shine bright in each of your sons, Austin, Evan and Blake. To look at them is to see you at your best. You didn't know how to love a little bit, you loved unconditionally with all of your soul and would fight with all you had to keep it.
