Barbara Roland Allen

Chester – Barbara Roland Allen, age 75, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in Rowland Family Cemetery in Chester. The family will greet friends after the service Tuesday at the cemetery.

Barbara, born in Eastman, had lived most of her life in Chester and Cochran. She was the daughter of the late David Quinton "Sweetie" Roland, Sr. and was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Roland, Sr. and her grandchildren, Gabby Hodge and Will Thompson. She was a former social worker for Heart of Georgia Nursing Home and Southland Care Center. Barbara attended Cochran First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are her husband, Wallace Allen of Chester; her children, Cindy Hodge of Cochran, Jamie Hodge of Hortense and Robbie Hodge of Dublin; her mother, Nadine R. Roland of Cochran; her sisters, Kathy (Herman) Smith of Cochran, LaTan (Joey) Murphy of Nashville, TN and Kim Webb of Cochran; her brothers, David (Carol) Roland and Mac (Charity) Roland of Cochran; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
