Barbara Sue Austell

Barbara Sue Denby Austell of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee at the age of 76 years. A native of Tullahoma, Tennessee. She is the daughter of the late Levi and Samantha Steele Denby. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and David Denby.

Her survivors include her children, James (Christy) Austell Jr. of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Lisa Mahoney of Lynchburg, Tennessee and Kimberlee (Ricky) Burton of Unionville, Tennessee, brothers John (Rebecca) Denby, Bill (Stacey) Denby and Joe (Tisha) Denby, sisters, Dorothy (Mike) Jean, Nancy Bomar, Penny Alexander, Trisha Sawyer, Samantha Denby-Bland, grandchildren Tyffani, Hunter, Megan, Tyler, Katie, Richard, James, Alysa, Kristen, Ashley, Jamie, Preston, and Jessica. Barbara is also survived by thirty-two Great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Hunt Cemetery in Estill Springs, Tennessee. Friends may visit at the funeral home with the family on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Barbara was of the Baptist faith. She owned her own cleaning service for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
