Mrs. Barbara Ann Akins Beasley, age 80, of Gallatin, TN, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025.

Barbara was born October 27th 1945 in Macon County, TN to the late S.G. and Mary Edna Akins. Raised in Westmoreland, TN, she was blessed to attend old time Missionary Baptist churches from birth and, through God’s mercy and grace, was gloriously saved on August 8th, 1961 and joined Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of church the rest of her life, even attending when her body began to fail. She was a strong Christian woman who always found the opportunity to share her testimony and the gospel with those who came in contact with her. She enjoyed her youthful days playing with her numerous cousins from a large extended family and, in her later days, talking and laughing with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Carson Borders.

She is survived in death by her husband of 60 years William (Billy) A. Beasley, her sons Craig (Missy) Beasley of Portland, TN and Keith (Christy) Beasley of Bethpage, TN and her daughter Crystal Borders of Westmoreland, TN, eight grandchildren - Kayleigh (Jason) Hudson, Kirsten (Levi) Ledbetter, Kassidy Beasley, Walker Beasley, Riley Beasley, Boston Borders, Ragan Borders, Eliza Beth Borders and one great-grandchild Reese Ledbetter.

Special recognition is also to be given to the many caretakers who loved and cared for her as much as she loved them, most recently Phyllis, Shirley, Debbie, Trixie, Tammy and Angela.

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin on Sunday, December 28th, 2025 from 2-8pm and Monday December 29th, 2025 from 10-12pm with the funeral service to follow at Noon, to be officiated by Elder Shawn Shepherd, Elder Donald Taylor, and Brother Frankie Downs. Interment will follow at the Siloam Cemetery in Westmoreland.

Pallbearers are Walker Beasley, Boston Borders, Levi Ledbetter, Jason Hudson, Garrett Simons, and Timmy Taylor.
