Barbara Ann Begley, age 80, of Springfield Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 29, 1945, to Robert J. Schulte and Thelma Schulte (Wheeler), Barbara grew up in Northside, Ohio, before moving to Greenhills in seventh grade. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School, Our Lady of the Rosary, and graduated from Our Lady of the Angels High School, where she enjoyed cheerleading, drama, school plays, and various clubs.

Barbara married the love of her life, Elmer Begley, after meeting him at the Greenhills community pool. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and family. Barbara and Elmer raised their children in Forest Park, Ohio, living close to her parents and siblings, creating a strong family bond that lasted a lifetime. In her later years, Barbara made her home in Springfield Township, Ohio.

She worked in her early years at Liberals grocery stores and a diner in Brentwood Shopping Center before becoming a tax preparer for H&R Block, where she worked until retirement. Barbara spent her life inspiring those around her, including helping family members with their taxes. She cherished family vacations, especially summer trips to the beach with her parents, siblings, and their children. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a family event-whether it was a sports game, dance recital, school play, or family get-together, including hosting holidays in her home. Barbara also treasured the friendships she built throughout her life, sharing laughter and memories with friends who became like family.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Elmer Begley, and her children: Elmer Begley (Stephanie), Angie Duggins, and Jennifer Begley. She was a proud grandmother to Robby Begley, Elizabeth Begley, Alex Duggins, Brent Begley, Hannah Harper, Victoria Duggins, and Chloe Harper, and a loving great-grandmother to Kayda Begley, Lucy Begley, and Mason Duggins.

She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Pat Munafo, Kathy Gould (Mike), Norie Roach (Mike); and sister-in-law Karen Schulte. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored her: Nick Munafo III (Joe Giugliano), Debbie Henning, Mick Munafo (Tricia), Tony Munafo (Heather), Michael Gould, Michelle Gould, Missy McCauley (Eric), Jessica Schulte, Emily Schulte, Michael Roach (Ashley), Nicole Roach, along with great-nieces and great-nephews: Lexi Munafo, Regan Flory, Jake Munafo, Ryanne Flory, Noah Henning, Landen Munafo, Brooklyn Munafo, Lauren Gould, Logan Gould, Addison Gould, Stella Gould, Gabi McCauley, Drew McCauley, Bella McCauley, Joshua Roach, Amaya Hudson, and Gia Roach.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. Schulte and Thelma Schulte (Wheeler); her brother, Robert J. Schulte; and her brother-in-law, Nicholas J. Munafo Jr.

Barbara was strong in faith and family. Her life was a testament to unwavering love and steadfast devotion, as she cherished her family with warmth, sincerity, and loyalty. Her legacy is one of strength, hope, and unconditional love. In her final year, life may have been filled with challenges, but she showed us that the human spirit can conquer even the toughest of trials.

As we remember Barbara, we celebrate a life filled with laughter, passion, and love for her faith and family. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
