Barbara Jean (Bush) Bellrichard, age 69, of Burnsville, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning, May 26, 2024, at M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. Barb was born on November 18, 1954, in Austin, Minnesota. She was the sixth of ten children of Chester Doyal and Mary Alice (Cooling) Bush. In 1957, the family moved to a two hundred+ acre farm south of Austin, where raising nine children was less of a public nuisance. She graduated from Austin High School in 1973, where she met and in 1975, married the love of her life and best friend, Craig Bellrichard, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. In February 2024, they celebrated 49 loving years together.
Barb worked at various places including KFC, Hubbard Grain Elevator, and Golden Corral before finding her long-time career at Norwest/Wells Fargo Bank in Austin, Northfield, and Minneapolis. She was consistently recognized for her dedication, work ethic, and high standards. Barb’s career advancement led them to several relocations throughout the years, building and leaving a beautiful home at each stop, including Austin, Faribault, and their current residence of Burnsville. Barb retired from the “Rat-Race” on April 1, 2015, on the streets in Paris France. (What a class act!)
Barb and Craig were devoted to family. Opening their hearts and home to the care of family on multiple occasions. Barb loved her faith, music, (especially Celtic Thunder), cooking, baking, yard work, gardening (done by Craig), horses, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Jeopardy, the Hallmark channel, reality TV, and playing games, which unleashed her competitive side. But above all, Barb cherished her family. Her selflessness, kindness, and unbounded love enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her and were loved by her. No holiday or family gathering will be the same without her, her sharp sense of humor, or her Jell-o jigglers and pickle roll-ups.
Barb is survived by her husband, Craig James Bellrichard; five siblings, Alan (Maryann) Bush, David Bush, Nancy Bennett, Debbie (Lori Lundquist) Johnson, and John (Jodi) Bush; many siblings-in-law, Janelle Bush, Larry (Cindy) Bellrichard, Barb (Mike) Raso, Karen Bellrichard, Jason Bellrichard; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Chester Doyal Bush Jr., Gary Bush, April Vollmer Lerum and Thomas Bush.
