Barbara J. Bergquist. Age 88 of Wyandotte.
Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of the late Susan (the late James) Stoughton and Lisa (the late Gary) LaBean. Dearest grandmother of Tanya Sommers, Kelly Manick, Jamie Kuzala and Brandy Denton. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Family Tribute ~
Robert & Barbara married in 1955. Barbara loved her family & loved being "Granny", as she was always thinking of the kids. She made Christmas Magical for everyone. Robert was severely injured in 1967 and Barbara had to take on supporting the family, to which she opened The VIP Dog Grooming shop, which still is open today.
Also in 1967 she bought her 1st Maltese "Robin", hence the beginning of "SuLe Kennel". Barbara was very well-known and respected in the world of Maltese. After 57 years, she still holds many records to this day. To her credit, Barbara was a 1 place winner of the AMA "Lifetime Achievement Award", 168 Owner handled Champions, Records with Victor & Jacana and Co-Authored a #1 Best Seller Book for Maltese pet owners. Her dogs Victor & Jacana also held records.
Barbara mentored many who went on to success in the breed because of her.

Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister and Friend.
She will truly be missed.
