PIQUA -- Barbara Ann Besecker went home to be with the lord on August 21, 2025. She was in the care of Heart to Heart Hospice at Westminster Village with her Loving Daughter Lisa by her side.
Barb was born on December 9th, 1937, in Piqua Ohio to Dorothy Ann and Franklin Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a loving husband Vic Besecker, son Scott Tillman, brother Doug Miller, Aunt Helen Pryfogle-Robbins and a great grandson Evan Eagle.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Brett Tillman, wife Rose; daughter Lisa Ann Morgan, husband Todd; grandchildren Alyvia Clark, husband Evan, Landon Morgan, wife Gabrielle, Jena Eagle, husband Corey; Great Grandchildren, Rylan Eagle, Reagan Eagle and Callum Clark. Along with many special nieces and nephews.
Barb was a proud member of the Piqua HS Marching band. She graduated from Piqua HS in 1955. She was a farmer's wife after working at Ohio Bell in Piqua then on to Wayne hospital in Greenville as a phone operator and cashier. Barb loved to volunteer and knock on doors for many of the area fund raisers like the American Heart Association and various cancer drives. Barb was one of the first lady members of the Pitsburg Lions Club where she helped with many charity events. She was always thrilled to work the gate at the Great Darke County Fair. She absolutely loved selling the annual fair passes and of course the fair food.
Barb spent most of her 2000's enjoying life in "The Villages" of Florida. She could be found on the Tennis courts, in the pool, at Katie Belles dancing, buzzing around on her blue golf cart or playing cards with her Florida friends.
Her last few years were spent at Westminster Village in Muncie to be reunited with her daughter Lisa and making new card playing friends. She could be found buzzing around Westminster on her little blue scooter wearing something that sparkled.
Barb was a dedicated Christian who loved Jesus and found her strength in God. She was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church, then Pleasant View Missionary and most recently attending church in Muncie with Lisa and Todd at Westminster
Presbyterian.
A special thanks from the family to the caring staff at Westminster Village and Heart to Heart Hospice. Especially Pastor Phil and mother's special friends fast Barb and neighbor Angie.
Memorial service was at Kreitzer Funeral Home in Arcanum, Ohio Wednesday August 27th, 2025 at 11am. Visitation was 10-11 with burial following in Mote Cemetery.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Barbara. We were friends and neighbors for many years, here in The Villages. We had a card group that met once a week and really looked forward to getting together. Barbara taught us how to play Super Samba.
I will remember her fondly.
My sincere sympathy to her family. May she rest in peace.
