Barbara Ann Blake, affectionately known as “Barb,” age 61, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her residence. She was born on January 15, 1964, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Huzell Robinson and the late Jesse Blake.
Barbara was one of twelve siblings. She is survived by her loving brothers and sisters—Robert James Blake, Lillie Blake, and Redell Blake. She was predeceased by her siblings Sandra Blake, Jesse Jr. Blake, Willie C. Blake, Willie Gene Blake, Donell Blake, Tommy E. Blake, and John Blake.
Barbara shared over 40 beautiful years with her late partner, Alonzo White, with whom she built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised three beloved children: Ikea White, Harry Blake, and Keith Blake. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren—Hasanai Porter, Zanyia Blake, Day'mari White, and A'ziyah White—who brought her endless joy and pride.
Barb was known for her sweet and charming personality. She had a heart of gold and radiated warmth and love to everyone she met. Always smiling, always laughing, she had a gift for making others feel special and cared for. In her younger years, she enjoyed doing hair, and throughout her life she loved cooking, dancing, and watching her favorite TV shows, The Young and the Restless and I Love Lucy.
Her kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Community Funeral Chapels, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Services for Barbara will be held November 18. 2025 from 10am-12pm. Interment will be held privately. To leave a memory or condolence for the family, please visit communityfuneralchapels.com.
