Barbara Ann Bloch passed away peacefully from Parkinson's Disease on October 5th, 2025 at her home in Alamo, CA surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born December 3rd, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Ruth Pahle. She attended high school in Toledo, then attended nursing school for 3 years where she earned her degree. She worked as a nurse for Kaiser Permanente and then pursued her love of travel as a flight attendant for United Airlines. She met the love of her life Chuck Bloch on a flight and they married in 1959. They settled in Danville, CA and were happily married for 66 years until Barbara's passing.
Barbara was extremely active and loved watching and playing tennis, had an insatiable appetite for reading, was active in many charities, her investment club, and also enjoyed playing cards with friends. She had a kind heart for those less fortunate, as well as a true love of animals. She and her husband traveled the world extensively with different vacation groups, friends and family. Her love and support of her family was immeasurable. She was the biggest cheerleader when it came to her children and grandchildren's milestones and sporting events, you would find her front and center always. She had a deep love for her family; her children often sought her wisdom, and she always responded with warmth, guidance, and care.
She is survived by her beloved husband Chuck, son Brad, daughter Stacey, son-in-law Barry, grandson Cole, granddaughter Lexi and her sweet dog Oreo.
Our family would like to thank our Mom's caregiver Nancy Arias, for her true love and care in her final days. In lieu of flowers, please donate to UCSF Children's Hospital give.ucsfbenioffchildrens.org
