Barbara Jo Bopp passed away in Big Spring, Texas. Barbara was born September 20, 1957 to Troy and Hattie Faye Richman in Seminole, Texas. Barbara was married to George Burleson in 1980, and raised 3 children, Stephen, James, and Leaila, until his death in 1991. In 1997, Steve and Barbara were united in marriage, until his death in 2012.

Barbara loved people with all her heart and never met a stranger. She adored her grandchildren and always made sure they always came home with a pocket full of treats. She was part of the First Assembly of God Church, Yoakum County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and Christian Motorcycle Association. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and loved country western dancing. She loved her family and loved it the most when everyone would gather and get together at cookouts. She loved Jesus and we will miss her dearly here on earth, but we know she is healed and whole in heaven.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Hattie Faye Richman; husband, George Burleson; husband, Steve Bopp; sister, Linda Jones; and brother, Troy Joel Richman, Jr.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Stephen Burleson and wife Lisabelle and children, Samantha (21), Olivia (16), Lillian (14), and Sawyer (8) of Midland, Texas, James Burleson and wife Stacy and children, Bowen (13) and Everly (10) of Midland, Texas; daughter, Leaila Burleson of Stanton, Texas; sister Sue Thomas of Denver City, Texas; and sister, Martha Chapman of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorials be made out to Yoakum County Hospital Ladies Auxillary.

"Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." – John 11: 25-26
