Barbara Beth Brockman, 74, formerly of McDonald, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Premier Nursing Center in Washington, PA.
She was born on May 11, 1951, in McDonald, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Naomi Ruth (Jackson) Brockman.
Barbara was a 1969 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and continued her education to obtain an associate’s degree. She worked many years in childcare, working as a Nanny for many families and their children through the years.
Barbara is survived by her brother James S. Brockman and his wife, Lynn, and her niece Jennifer L. Guidice and her husband Rob.She also leaves behind her treasured goddaughters Lisa O’Brien and Susie Rich.
Barbara was a very “crafty” lady who had very many interests; she loved taking photographs as well as scrapbooking, decorating and other creative crafts.
She was very proud of her father's service to the U.S. Army in the 80th Infantry Division. Her father was part of the liberation of Buchenwald Concentration Camp during WWII and she had the opportunity to travel with him back to Buchenwald for the 65th anniversary of the Liberation. Barbara dedicated much of her time honoring and remembering all WWII military veterans and families. She was proud to have a multitude of family members who served in the US military.
Above all, she took the greatest joy in her work helping to raise and nurture the many children she cared for over the decades, creating lifetime memories of a beloved “Aunt Barb”.
