Barbara Brooks Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 19, 2025.
Barbara Ann Brooks, age 76, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Harris Hospital.
Graveside services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth.
Barbara was born on September 2, 1948, to parents Joseph and Mildred Marrian Margaret Miller. She was adopted by Clarence Loyd Sexton in 1950 and raised her. Barbara worked in the accounting department as a coding clerk for different hospitals in Fort Worth. She retired early due to macular degeneration around 2003. Barbara lived alone with her pets since her husband of 33 years passed away from cancer in 2001.
Blessedly, they both knew the love of Jesus and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. So while we mourn the loss of Barbara, we will be able to rejoice from the knowledge that she's no longer suffering or in pain but in Heaven with Jesus and her late husband.
Survivors: Son, Glenn Brooks and his wife, Amanda Brooks; two granddaughters, Iris and Raelynn Brooks; Joe Sexton and his wife, Susie, and their children, Joe Junior, Jodie, Joseph, and Josie Sexton; Melody Ann Sexton and her children, Loyd, Chris, and Stephen Sexton; Rachel Santos and her husband, Robert Santos; Mildred Sexton and her children, Louis, Lillian, Joshua, Frankie, and William; Patricia Hosey, her husband, Bobby, and their children, Kim and Franny Hosey; Patric Jenkins and his wife, Susie Jenkins, and their children, James and Emily Jenkins; as well as her neighbors of many years, to whom she was like family, Albino Guterrez and his wife, daughter, Cassandra, and Rachelle Gutierrez.
