Barbara Maryln Brown

We are saddened to announce the passing of 88 year old, Maryln Brown, as she unexpectedly passed away during knee surgery.

Maryln was born in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Lincoln High School where she met the love of her life of 67 years, Ralph Brown. They married and moved to Las Vegas as Ralph was stationed at Nellis AF base where their first child was born. They returned back to Seattle and Marlyn worked and retired from Seattle Trust & Savings Bank and had 3 more daughters. In 1976, they relocated to Vancouver, where she worked at the Vancouver Church of Christ as a secretary.

She was a woman of faith and attended The Church of Christ and Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene. She loved playing the violin, traveling, and her grandchildren.

Maryln was predeceased by her parents James & Mildred Boyce, Husband Ralph R Brown, and grandsons Kristopher & Andrew Black.

She is survived by her brother Jim (Carol) Boyce, her children, Debbie (Jim) Mitts, Kathy (Mike) Nicholson, Sue (Casey) Collins, Kristy (Jeff) Blake. 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She enjoyed being a grandmother, mother, aunt, sister, and friend.

The Memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene 14410 NW 21st Avenue Vancouver WA, on Saturday, Dec. 16th, at 2pm.
