Barbara Ann Brown, lovingly known as Aunt Corcky, age 80, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2029. She was born in West Jefferson, Ohio, on September 6, 1945, and was lovingly raised by her mother, C. Viola Shockley, and Hughie McDowell.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her children, Dwayne (Janine) Hane, Shirley (William) Hammons, and Laurie (Jason) Staats; her many grandchildren — Jamie, Tiffany, Cassie, Todd, Tyler, Zoe, Ryder, Ashley, Shannon, Sabrina, Robert, Marlee, Ashton, Shea, Misty — along with numerous other beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Linda, Teddy, Bucky, and Diane, as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Pam and Michelle, and by her grandchildren, Marty, Amber and Jeff.
Barbara’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
