Barbara Ann Buse

Tupelo, Barbara Ann Buse, age 60, passed away January 30, 2026 at Shearer-Richardson nursing facility in Okolona. She received a full restoration after a long, brave battle with Huntington's Disease.

Services will be Thursday February 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. John Cagle officiating.

Barbara was fun-loving, loyal, and generous. She loved her people fiercely. As a travel nurse she shared her skills in several places around the country, including Hawaii. She loved traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and going to church. Always on the go, Barbara found joy in new experiences but was happiest during the time she lived and built community in California.She valued her faith, friendships, and family above all else. One of her greatest loves was her beloved dog, Buddy, who brought her years of companionship and happiness.

She is survived by her son, caregiver, and pride and joy, Dustin Buse and his wife, Kayla; brother Steve Clayton (Tina); sister Becky Lott (Mark); and her nephews and niece, Cody Williams (Brittany), Asher Lott, and Norah Lott.

She is also lovingly remembered by her devoted caregivers, who became like family: LaErica Brownlee, Mae McKinney, Lisa Taylor, Leslie Posey, Carli Hooker, Ann Huckaby, Ma'Kyla Wallace, Ashley Hall, Laurie Young, and Shelli Hood. The compassionate care and friendship of Shearer Richardson and Enhabit Hospice are deeply appreciated.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Buse; mother, Wilma Munn; stepfather, Jimmie Munn; brother, Kenny Clayton; sister, Cindy Munn Bland; and her beloved Buddy.

Barbara will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and the way she loved those closest to her with her whole heart.

Visitation will be Thursday February 5, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 6:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home.
