Barbara Ann Cador was born March 20, 1951, to Hazel & Booker T. Swoope, Sr. Barbara was a native of Oakdale, La., and moved to Deridder, La., in 1994, where she still resided until her passing. She was a graduate of Oakdale High School in 1969, and of the first of three African American students who integrated the school during the Civil Rights movement. she then furthered her education at Alexandria Vocation Technical College, Department of the Army Career Management Intern Program and attended Northwestern State University. She was a Retired Federal Civil Service Employee for 32 years and had a successful career as a Mangement Analyst in Germany, Japan and Fort Polk.
She has been married to Paul Cador for 52 years. During her leisure time she enjoyed crafting, shopping, traveling and leisure time with her family.
On May 6, 2023, God called one of his precious angel's home. Barbara is proceeded in death by her parents Hazel and Booker T. Swoope, Sr., and her brother Booker T. Swoope, Jr., her grandparents Eliz'a and Octavia Moreaux.
Barbara leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving Husband Paul Cador of Deridder, La; two sisters - Hilda Boykin of Gulfport, MS., and Linda (Nathan) Thacker of Clarksville, TN; one brother, Jerry (Tina) Swoope, of Dallas, TX; one aunt, Hilda Frilot of Dallas, TX; three godchildren, Markeen Melbert, Chris Swoope and Amari Ramsey and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
