It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Cameron announces that her beautiful soul passed from this world on January 11, 2026. She passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Barbara dedicated her entire life selflessly to her family, exemplifying love, strength, and sacrifice as a devoted mother and grandmother. She was deeply committed to serving her community in many ways, including catering for church events, weddings, benefits, and countless gatherings. It was never uncommon for her famous red velvet cake to play a meaningful role in raffles or benefits for someone in need.

Barbara was a caring and loving Christian with a heart as big as the world. Thoughtful and generous, she gave freely and joyfully whenever it was within her power. In recognition of her selfless service, deep faith, and dedication to living Christ’s light, she was honored with the Lumen Christi Award. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith touched countless lives, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She provided for her family through many avenues, including running a paper route for the Sun Herald for over 40 years, operating her own catering business, making wedding cakes, and working in veteran long-term care. To say Barbara was a hard worker would be an understatement.

Surrounded by family and friends, Barbara found joy in camping, cooking, baking, and celebrating holidays. From making popcorn balls for trick-or-treaters to dyeing Easter eggs after Sunday church, her traditions were rooted in love. She cherished camping at McLeod Park for Halloween with the kids, celebrating the Fourth of July with American flags and fireworks, and decorating for Christmas as a family. Barbara always wanted her yard to be big, bright, and beautiful—not just for herself and family, but for her community to enjoy.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “C.J.” Cameron; her parents, Sidney. and Etheline Bennett; her brothers, Sidney Bennett. and Harlon Bennett; her sisters, Margaret (Roy) Cuevas and Josie Bennett; and her brother-in-law, Cleveland Wyatt.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Donna) Cameron; her daughter, Belinda (Kenneth) Morgan; her grandchildren, Joshua (Katelin) Cameron, Jonathan (Amber) Cameron, Jordan Morgan, Joley Cameron; her great-grandchildren, Trenton, Jaycee, Jayston, and Jaylee; her sister, Doris Wyatt; and her brother, Gene (Lena) Bennett, sister in law, Opal Bennett. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Cameron Family and ask that you keep them in you thoughts in your prayers during these difficult times.
