Joseph Anthony "Joe" Cameron

Joseph Anthony Cameron age 88, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 8, 2026.

Joe was born on January 15, 1938 in Winston, Connecticut. He was the Son of late William & Rose Cameron. Joe served in the United State Marine Corp. from 1955-1958 serving on the USS Lake Champlain as an Aviation Machinist. After completing his service Honorably and earning two Good Conduct Metals Joe settled in Miami, Florida and married his bride Connie in 1959 as well as continuing his service as a reserve from 1959-1961. Joe also began his career as an Aviation Machinist eventually becoming Sr. Vice President for a major jet engine repair shop. After retiring in 1998 Joe moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida for two years and then settling in Ocala to spend the rest his life enjoying his hobbies including RC Airplanes and his favorite passion, Golf.

Joseph is survived by his wife Connie, son and Daughter in-law, Joe and Lynn Cameron, of

Spring Hil, Florida, son & Daughter in-law, Chris and Diana Cameron of Cape Coral, Florida, granddaughter Jenna Montgomery of Cape Coral, Florida, and granddaughter Nicole Smith of Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala Florida, at 2:00 PM.
