Barbara Jean Carter, 82, of Frankfort, died at 11:35 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort. She was born on Thursday, December 25, 1941, in Ross County, a daughter of the late Raymond S. and Gladys Helen Lee Jackson. 


Barbara is survived by her four children, Brenda S. (John) Robinson of Frankfort, Kim J. (Chuck) Engel of Frankfort, Gina L. (Alan) Hobbs of Lucasville, Rich M. Wilt of Frankfort, nine grandchildren; Charlee, Kallee, Kristen, Abby, Justin, Addie, Wes, Lexee, Clay, and ten great-grandchildren; Sydnee, Teegan, Owen, Layne, Braylee, Braedin, Kenzie, Blayne, and Lyndee. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, JP Robinson, one sister, Wanda Minney, and one brother, Ray Jackson.


Barbara was a co-owner of Whispering Pines, Frankfort, where she worked as a nursing aide. She was a lifelong member of Antioch Christian Church, enjoyed woodworking, playing her guitar, singing karaoke, and traveling with her aunts.


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Ron Ater officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends are invited to visit with Barbara's family at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m.. Those wishing to leave a memory of Barbara may do so by signing her online register.
