Barbara Jane Giroir Grow Cartolano, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 11:46AM. Barbara was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Chauvin Funeal Home from 9:30am until service time. A Liturgy of the Word will follow visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:30am with burial taking place in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Barbara is survived by her loving family; her children, Rocky Grow, Roxanne Picou and husband Gary; step-children, Catherine Cartolano, Laura Leone, Karen Balcom, Melissa Hackikian, Gregory Cartolano; seven loving grandchildren, 10 loving step-grandchilden, and fifteen loving great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Trahan, Tommy Giroir, and Elaine Blanchard. She is also survived by many loving nieces, and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in passing by her 1st loving husband, Ernest Grow Jr. and 2nd loving husband Joseph Cartolano Sr. and parents, Addie Giroir and Lorita Oliver Giroir; son, Randy Grow, step-son, Joseph Cartolano Jr.; sister, Marina Fanguy.

Barbara was a strong and hard working person who was able and willing to provide for her family. She loved all that life had to offer. Barbara was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and sister.
