Barbara Jean Castello, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Waterford, Michigan surrounded by family. Born on January 11, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Walter and Margaret McIntyre. Barbara lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Barbara shared 63 wonderful years with her devoted husband, Alfonso. She was a proud mother to Terri and Michael Castello and a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also a great sister to eight siblings, whose bonds she treasured deeply.

Professionally, Barbara had a dynamic career in real estate and also was a teller manager at two credit unions, where her dedication and warmth left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. She had a passion for travel and adventure, enjoyed visiting casinos, and was always a winner. Above all, Barbara loved family gatherings, bringing joy, laughter, and her generous spirit to every occasion.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the American Legion Post 63 – 8047 Ortonville Rd, Village of Clarkston, MI 48348. Family, friends, and all who knew Barbara are welcome to join in honoring her memory and the extraordinary life she lived.

Barbara's legacy of love, warmth, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
