Barbara Caughman Obituary
Barbara "Bobbie" M. Caughman, 94, of Orangeburg, S.C., passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. She was the wife of the late Dr. Marion R. Caughman.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Orangeburg Lutheran Church, 610 Ellis Avenue, Orangeburg, SC. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bobbie was born in Columbia, S.C., a daughter of the late Allie B. and Ethel McCarthy. She grew up in the Shandon area of Columbia and graduated from Dreher High School. She attended Columbia College and, after raising her four children, returned to the University of South Carolina where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education. Bobbie taught kindergarten for many years and served as a volunteer at Orangeburg Regional Hospital. She was a member of Orangeburg Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband of seventy years and her parents, Bobbie was predeceased by her sister, Faye M. Stanton.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Beth C. Fullwood, Julia C. Talley, M. Roddey Caughman (Becky), and Elaine C. Senn (Mark); nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Such a kind and very nice lady had the pleasure of seeing her at and around hospital always had a smile on her face and always spoke to you. Not know she was my Son´s Doctor wife. He was my son´s Dr for 21 years yes that´s right 21 years my son a young man driving big truck and was still seeing Dr Caughman he loved Dr Caughman. Dr Caughman and his wife was made for each other two of the sweetest people serving the public I know RIP
