It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara R. Cawley, a beloved mother and cherished friend, who left the world on August 20, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on September 2, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee Oelker) Long, Barbara dedicated her life to her family and career, most notably serving as a devoted bookkeeper in the banking industry at Firestone Bank.

Barbara was a generous spirit whose love for her children was evident in everything she did. She is survived by her three sons, Kere (Brenda) Cawley, John (JoAnne) Cawley II, and Vincent Cawley, as well as two daughters, Lyn (Rich) Boso and Barbara Jewel and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John Cawley, and her daughter, Kelly Salser.

Barbara was deeply rooted in the community, not just through her profession but also through her faith. As a woman of unwavering conviction, her legacy will be honored in the coming days.

Barbara's family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home of Stow, 3333 Kent Rd. Stow, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Eugene Catholic Church on August 28, 2025 at 11:00am. Interment immediately following at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

Barbara was a woman of true faith and compassion. May she rest in eternal peace.
