Barbara Jean Cook

Barbara Jean (Snyder) Cook passed away on November 17, 2022 in Wellington, Kansas. Barbara
was a resident of Wellington, Kansas since 1964.
Barbara was born on February 6, 1937 in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Aaron and Christena
(Branom) Snyder. She was raised in Winfield and attended Winfield public schools. Barbara
married Eldon Cook on July 11, 1954 in Winfield.
Barbara enjoyed making silk and dried flower arrangements and working in her flower garden.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and spending time with her
husband Eldon. Barbara was office manager for Belle Plaine Auto Parts for ten years and
previously worked at Futures Unlimited and was a member of the United Methodist Church of
Wellington.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Eldon of the
home; her daughter Rhonda Earick of Fullerton, CA. and her daughter Lindsey Winger of
Renton, WA; Dana Stevens and her husband Gary of Georgetown, TX and their children Amber
Arnold and Zach Stevens of Round Rock, Texas; Lorie Cunningham and her companion Marc
Allen of Salina, KS. and her children Brandon Cunningham of Hays, KS, Quinn Cunningham of
Denver, CO., Cameryn Seibel, of Woodland Park, CO., and Keyton Cunningham of Salina, KS. and
Troy Cook and his wife Susan of Pittsburg, KS. and their children Tara Cook of Missoula, MT.,
Tate Cook of Austin, TX., Dyson Dechant of Peculiar Missouri and Emily Dechant of Pittsburg,
Kansas; and her brother Jim Snyder and his wife Lynne of Winfield, KS.
Funeral services for Barbara will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Cornejo Funeral Home. Pastor Isaac Chua will officiate. Internment will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas.
Memorial contributions can be given in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
