Mar 16, 1955 - Feb 6, 2026
Debra "Debby" Lee Yearout, age 70, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Wellington. She was born on March 16, 1955, in Wellington, Kansas, the third daughter of Robert Elmer Yearout and Donna Beth (Cook) Yearout.
Debby attended Mayfield Grade School and Wellington Junior High School and graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1973.
Throughout her life, Debby found joy in many interests and pastimes. She was a devoted attendee of Mayfield Softball tournaments, where she could often be found with a scorebook in her lap, carefully keeping track of each game. She was a dedicated fan of the Wichita Wings Soccer League and rarely missed an opportunity to follow the team. Debby also enjoyed country music, science fiction films, and was an avid reader and collector of books. A lover of Mickey Mouse and all things Disney, she carried a special fondness for the magic and memories they inspired. Among her favorite weekly activities was a visit to the casino, which she enjoyed as a form of recreation and entertainment.
Debby spent her life working in various fields. She was employed in the dietary department at St. Luke's Hospital, where she furthered her education and earned certification as a Certified Dietary Manager. She later worked for more than 13 years in the aircraft industry at Cessna, now Textron Aviation. Never one to remain idle, Debby continued her working career with over 10 years of service at Dillons, retiring only when her health no longer permitted her to continue.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Elmer Yearout, and her brother-in-law, Gene Davies.
Debby is survived by her mother, Donna Yearout; her sisters, Sherry Alquest (Alan), Brenda Etter (Jack), and Cindy Davies; and her brother, Steve Yearout (Linda). She is also survived by her nieces, Tina Stadler (Adam) and Kami Bock (Cody); her nephews, Kip Etter (Kim), Jeremy Goodrum, Stuart Yearout (Trinh), and Brian Yearout (Jay); 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was always welcoming, full of love and never short on conversation. Her warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Debby was one of the "Big Girls" in Mayfield to me when I was growing up. She was always nice and friendly and a good example. My love to the family...
