Barbara Birdwell Cook, age 72 of Moss in Clay County, TN passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024 at her residence. Barbara is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Barbara Birdwell Cook will be conducted Friday afternoon, April 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Gary Wilder officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Herbert & Vina Olene Birdwell; Sisters, Nina Rebhan & Carol Frazier; Brothers, Johnny, Louie, David, Noel, & Bob Birdwell.

She is survived by: Husband, Douglas Cook, Daughter & Son-in-Law, Sonya & Calvin Smith all of Moss, TN; Step-son, Bryan Cook of Glasgow, KY; Granddaughter & Companion, Keshia Smith & Austin Goad, Great-Grandson, Branton Will Goad all of Celina, TN; Step-Grandson, Dillon Cook of Glasgow, KY; Brothers & Sister-in-Law, Ray & Betty Birdwell of Alabama, Dennis Birdwell & Companion Judy of Lawrenceburg, TN; Brother-in-Law & Wife, Steve & Rachel Cook of the Galen Community; Sister-in-Law & Husband, Tina & Jeff Harrison of Akersville, KY; Caregiver, Betty Sue Smith; several Nieces and Nephews.
