Barbara G. Cotton

Barbara G. Cotton, age 99, of New Castle, passed away March 28, 2026, at Jameson Nursing and Rehab.

Born May 2, 1926, she was the daughter of Clayton and Mary (Haynes) Green.

Barbara was preceded in death on February 13, 2013, by her husband of 64 years, Clayton H. Cotton, whom she married March 27, 1948.

She was employed with King's Jewelry as a salesclerk for 25 years and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Among her interests were reading and playing cards but Barbara enjoyed most the time shared with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy A. Cotton with whom she resided, and Debi (Terry) DeMaria of Greenville, SC; one sister, Susan Shipman of New Castle; two granddaughters, Amanda (Robert) Brevetta and Katie (Jason) Currie, both of Greenville, SC; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a great nephew, Matthew Criscito.

Cathy and Debi would like to thank their wonderful family and friends for loving and supporting them during this 13-year journey. Thank you, also, to Three Rivers Hospice and Jameson Care for providing guidance and support.
