Stephen K. Miller

Stephen K. Miller, age 45, of New Castle, passed the morning of March 17, 2026.

Born April 29, 1980, in Iowa City, IA, he was the son of Rodney P. and Roxanne (Halligan) Miller.

He married his beloved wife and best friend, Deanna (Huey) Miller on Aug. 29, 2003. Deanna survives at home.

Stephen was a graduate of Faith Mission Bible College in Scotland. A devoted pastor at The Table EMC, Stephen led with humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to sharing God's love. His words offered guidance, his presence brought comfort, and his life reflected the message he so faithfully preached. In addition to being a pastor, Stephen was a hardworking man who took pride in his time at Hazy Construction. He found joy in the things he loved most like roasting his own coffee, collecting baseball cards, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, and immersing himself in the worlds of Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings. However, above everything else, what he cherished most in life, was being a husband and a father.

In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his mother, Roxanne, his four children, Carlee, Megan, Micah and Callan Miller, four brothers, Jason Miller, Derek Miller, Nathan Miller and Matthew Miller; and three sisters, Sarah Wollin, Amy Wall and Abbie Miller.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 20th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will be held on Sat. March 21st, at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Aaron Withrow, Pastor Brian Hammond, and his brother, Father Jason Miller, officiating.
