Barbara Charlene Craun, 69, of Athol, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Through her journey, she taught those around her what it means to live bravely, always with joy and an unforgettable smile that could light up your soul.
Barbara spent most of her years on her beloved acreage, nurturing her gardens and finding peace in nature. As a master gardener, she had a deep love for tending to her flowers, plants, and vegetable garden. Nothing brought her more joy than getting her hands in the dirt, planting and caring for her raspberries, blackberries, and fresh vegetables, which she enjoyed snacking on straight from the garden.
Cherishing life’s simple pleasures, Barbara especially loved playing card games, gathering around the bonfire with loved ones, and sharing stories and laughter under the stars.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Steve Craun; her children, Rebecca Weeks and Stephen Craun; her son-in-law, David Weeks; her cherished grandchildren, Nathan Weeks and Tristan Weeks; her mother, Charlene Meyer; and her sister, Carol Warkoczewski, along with her brother-in-law, Tom Warkoczewski. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, including nieces, cousins, and many dear friends.
Barbara’s strength, radiant smile, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She will be forever remembered by those who loved her, and her spirit will continue to bloom in the gardens she adored and the hearts she touched.
