Her Legacy Barbara Carol Czerwinski, 76, passed away May 24, 2023. She was born on July 1, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to Chester Lizon and Sophie (Banas) Lizon. Barbara was married to the love of her life, John, for 54 years. Barb retired from a fulfilling career at Macy's, starting back when it was known as Hudson's. Barb valued being with family and would talk on the phone for hours with her sister. She enjoyed traveling, including going out west, sitting on the beach people watching, collecting sea shells and visiting lighthouses. Barb passed on her annual tradition of making way too many pierogis to her sons and grandchildren. Barb's spunk never faded even through her battle with Alzheimer's.
Her Family Barb was preceded in death by her husband, John. She was loving mother to Brian (Jennifer) and Todd (Christina). Cherished grandmother "G-Barb" to Madeline, Lindsey, Joseph, John Daniel, and Antonia. Dear sister to Sharon and Daniel (Diana).
Her Farewell Barb's Community Farewell will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 10:30AM (10AM-10:30AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel.
