Our Beloved Mother, Barbara A. Dahlman (nee Brosemer), passed away peacefully on May 22,2025 at age 85 and is reunited in heaven with her husband Richard (Dick), her parents Philip and Loraine Brosemer and her brothers Philip and Donald.
She was a cherished mother/mother-in-law to her sons Stephen (Chris) Dahlman and Mark (Patti) Dahlman and grandchildren Andrew Dahlman and Karley Dahlman.
Barb attended Auburn University and worked at NASA in Huntsville before meeting her husband Dick. They married August 3, 1963 and this would be the start of a 32 year adventure until Dick's passing in 1995. While they spent most of their lifetime together committed to their Antique Business located in Franklin, WI, there were many other businesses they were involved in from restaurants to a fish market in Hales Corners.
Growing up, Barb's father owned a tree nursery so she always had an interest in flowers and plants. She also had a love of animals. You could often find Llamas, peacocks or Chops (the pig) roaming their yard in Franklin.
Barb also had a strong Christian faith and supported the church and often volunteered for the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Her house was never quiet. With the business located on the same property, people came in as customers and left as friends. Almost every evening friends and family would gather at their home for card games and conversation. Her southern hospitality and southern accent will be missed by many.
Visitation at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 7963 S. 116th Street, Franklin, WI 53132 on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 10 am to 11:45 am. Funeral Mass 12 noon.
