Barbara Burrell Daum, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, on January 3, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on April 10, 1945, Barbara's life was a rich tapestry woven from her loving spirit, keen sense of humor, adventurous nature, and unwavering optimism.
Barbara dedicated much of her career to retail sales, where her vibrant personality shone brightly, leaving a lasting impression on both her colleagues and customers. Her laughter was contagious, and she had an innate ability to make anyone feel welcomed and special, a quality that carried over into every aspect of her life.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, the beach, writing poetry and RVing. She embraced the beauty of nature through her passion for gardening, finding immense joy in cultivating life and color in her surroundings. As a true animal lover, she loved and was devoted to her many rescue dogs and cats thru the years. Her greatest treasure, however, was the time she spent with her family and friends, nurturing those relationships with her boundless affection. While on her journey she especially enjoyed her "spa" Sundays with Ashe, at River Falls Post Acute.
Barbara is survived by her loving son, Tracy Briscoe Wolf; grandson Wesley Dew (Amanda), her dear sisters, Elaine Wallace (Bobby) and Brenda Bay; and her brother, Sam Burrell. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and the laughter they shared.
Welcoming Barbara into eternal rest are her devoted daughter in law Cynthia Dew Wolf and beloved parents, Louise Burrell Chapman and Briscoe Burrell, along with her brothers Roy, Dennis, and Darrell Chapman. She will be profoundly missed but remains forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we reflect on Barbara's journey, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Her legacy will continue through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
