Barbara Sue Dodson

Barbara Sue Dodson, age 89, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on January 22, 2025. She was born in Cabot, Arkansas on August 25, 1935 to J.E. Wingate and Ethel (Carmichael) Wingate.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Jim Wingate and Charlie Wingate; and her son Gregory Dodson.
She is survived by two sons Mark Dodson and Michael Dodson both of Cabot, AR; grandchildren Michael Chase Dodson, Tiffany Dodson, Heath (Shauna) Barker, Jeremy Pruitt; two siblings Erma (Wes) Vier and Pat Gernold Ray; along with 8 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Barbara graduated from Cabot High School in 1953. She attended Draughon's School of Business in Little Rock. She worked at the Little Rock VA Hospital for over 28 years. She also worked for the FBI. Barbara enjoyed fishing on the Cache River and taking care of her farm. She also loved to paint and draw. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot for many years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 11:00am with funeral service starting at 1:00pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Sumner Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.
