Barbara J. Dumprope

Barbara "Barb" J. Dumprope, 78 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Bob Mueller officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Barb and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.

Barbara "Barb" was born on November 14, 1947, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to the late Gail and Leona (Pelowski) Dumprope. She grew up in Little Falls, where she attended school and graduated from Little Falls High School. Following graduation, Barb began working at Larson Boat Works in the upholstery department in 1965. She dedicated 47 years to her work there, retiring in 2012. Barb valued the friendships she made over the years and especially enjoyed gathering for coffee with her Larson Boat friends to catch up on one another's lives. Barb had a special love for animals, especially her beloved kitty cats, who brought her much joy and companionship. She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, where she faithfully participated in the weekly quilt group and always made sure the coffee was ready for church services and Bible studies she was part of. In her younger years, Barb enjoyed fishing. She was also an avid puzzler, loved watching football, and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Barb was a very loving sister, aunt and dearly loved by those who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by, Bonnie (Daryl Tretter) Matlock of Pierz, MN and Richard (Patty) Dumprope of Ft. Ripley, MN; nieces and nephews, Brenda Bleeker, Robert (Brandy) Matlock, Ryan (Nancy) Matlock, Melissa (Shane) Stowe; great-nieces and nephews, Adam Freitag, Austin Freitag, Madison Heath, Braxston Matlock, Dillon Matlock, Chandler Bleeker, Lexie Bleeker, Derek Matlock and Ethan Matlock, Oliver Stowe and great-great nephews, Jackson Freitag and Hunter Freitag.

Barbara was preceded in death by parents, Gail and Leona Dumprope; brother-in-law, Ray Matlock; and nephew, Michael Dumprope.
