Barbara J. Eagen

Barbara J. Eagen, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed from this life on November 30, 2023, at the age of 81 after a short battle with cancer. Born April 15, 1942 in Dunkirk, NY, Barb was an only child and the daughter of the late Jean Fuller Bull Person and the late Willard Bull, and the stepdaughter of the late Alvin Person. She is survived by her beloved husband, travel partner and life adventurer of 53 years, Bill Eagen, as well as her daughters, Debbie (Jon) Kesman, Julie (Jimmy) Buencamino, and Becky (Randy) Shacka. Barb's small family also includes her cousins, the late Dr. Bob Eckel, Dr. Peter Eckel and Dr. Christopher Eckel. Barb's most cherished role in life was being the beloved grandmother – better known as "Gram" - to her grandkids Madison and Lindsay Kesman, Lily and Logan Buencamino and Will and Isla Shacka. Her impact on their lives will be everlasting. Barb was loved by many in her extended family, as well as her close circle of friends and her loss is devastating. Her bright light can never be replaced. The family will receive friends Monday, December 4, 2023, 3-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd, Rochester.
