Barbara Ebert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trexler Funeral Home, Inc. on Sep. 24, 2025.
Barbara A. (Marinkovits) Ebert, 71, of Alburtis, passed away peacefully Monday September 22, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. She was the loving wife of Jeffrey C. Ebert. Barbara was born in Northampton to the late John and Elizabeth (Lebish) Marinkovits. She grew up in Cementon and later built a life in Coplay, where she owned and operated a daycare for many years in her home. She went on to work for Walmart for 25 years in layaway and the receiving department. Barbara had quite the green thumb. Her home was always meticulously landscaped with lush and vibrant flower gardens. She also loved to cook and bake; she was known for her scrumptious apple pie with butter crumb topping. Barbara and Jeffrey were married in 2004. Together they shared a passion for traveling and always brought home a souvenir magnet to mark the occasion. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, swimming, dancing and listening to music. Above all, she loved spending quality time with her family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her for her infectious smile, kindness, generosity, sweet nature and unconditional love. Her love for life was immeasurable. She was the proud mother of Matthew Deifer of California and Lynda Deifer of Allentown and adored grammy of Logan and Tyson Clifton. She is also survived by stepson Bryan Ebert of Coopersburg, stepdaughters Laura Donschietz and Jennifer Evans of Allentown; brothers Andrew Marinkovits of California, Edward Marinkovits of Whitehall; sisters Andrea Marinkovits and Patricia Penny of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by brother John Marinkovits of Bethlehem. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lehigh Valley Humane Society c/o Trexler Funeral home, 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown, PA 18102. Condolences may be made at trexlerfuneralhome.com.
