Barbara Ellison Obituary
Barbara D. Winn Ellison of Calallen, Texas went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
She was a great mother, "Mema" and friend.
She lived for her family. She devoted all her time for their needs.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” Ellison; her son, Robert Winn Ellison; her grandson, Zach Ellison; & her parents.
She was born on November 1, 1936 in Pleasanton, Texas to Delbert & Aileen Winn. She was raised in Pleasanton, where she graduated in 1954. She married her husband, Bob, on July 17, 1956. She and Bob had three children. Later she opened up Ellison’s Nursery & Florist on Hwy 77 north of Robstown .
She is survived by her daughters, Darla (Sam) Lawson and Dana (Tina ) Ellison; grandchildren, Brittany (Dewey) Clark, Lauren Moodie, Zalen Ellison; and four great-grandsons, Parker and Hunter Moodie, Brody and Asher Ellison; along with her special daughter-in-law, Linda Ellison.
The family would like to thank CCNR, Fresenius, and Medivan for the care of our mom.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 10am-11am at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Funeral service will follow immediately at 11am. Graveside service will be at 3pm at Brite Cemetery in Pleasanton, Texas.
