Barbara Elaine Evans

Barbara Elaine Evans (nee Schweitzer), 77 of Wilder, KY. Our family is heartbroken to share that Barbara Evans has unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Barbara was one of seven of Chester and Thelma (nee Graziani) Schweitzer siblings, a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, Tom, for 58 years, and the most loving mom, grandma, and great grandma we could have ever hoped for. She adored her 12 grandchildren, her great grandchild, and was excited to welcome another in April.

She loved working in her yard, cutting grass, watching the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and never missed a chance to enjoy the Brown County Fair. She showed up for her kids in every way, rarely missing an event-and cared for all of us with unmatched tenderness, especially when we were sick.

Barb is survived by her husband, Tom Evans; a daughter, Tammy (Scott Ranson) Morgan (Tavares, FL), Tammy's children: Taylor Hannum and Kylie Hannum; son, Scott (Kristi) Evans (Hebron, KY), and children: Abigail Evans, Natalie Evans, Grace Evans, Tristan Evangelista, grandchild, Iris Evangelista and grand baby Evangelista #2; son, Steve (Meredith) Evans (Lebanon, OH) and children: Quinton Evans, Noah Evans, Aidan Evans, Xavier Evans, Zander Evans and Finn Evans; six siblings: Dave (Peggy) Schweitzer, Judy (late Allen) Baker, Marlene (late Jim) Selby, Ray (Margie) Schweitzer, Ralph (Linda) Schweitzer and Evelyn (Marty) Yockey.

Visitation 4:00 PM -7:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington Street, Alexandria, KY 41001. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 4, at the funeral home. Interment in the Alexandria Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Campbell County V.F. W. Post 3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001, (please bring a side dish). In lieu of flowers, donations to Alexandria Funeral Home are appreciated to help with expenses.
