Ralph Darrell Arnold

Ralph "Darrell" Arnold, 83, of California, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center.

Darrell was born on November 17, 1942, to his late parents, Ralph and Masarata (née Johnson) Arnold. He was a retired employee of Newport Steel. Darrell and his wife, Janet, were former members of the Newport Elks and the Country Cruisers Car Club.

During football season, Sunday afternoons were often spent watching the Cincinnati Bengals. Darrell also enjoyed spending time on his riding mower, moving along at what his family described as a "snail's pace", so slow, they joked you could see the grass growing behind him. He also introduced his grandchildren to the joy of oatmeal cream pies; a treat they will always associate with him.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sue (née Mulligan) Arnold, and his son, Roy Arnold.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Stacey Arnold, and two grandchildren, Tyler (Riley) Arnold and Alyssa Arnold.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in the Alexandria Cemetery Mausoleum. Online condolences may be shared at alexandriafh.com.
