Faille, Barbara Jean of Flushing, age 80, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at her home. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Rossell Funeral Home with a service of memory sharing at 7 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint.
Barbara was born on March 16th, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan, to Vanny and Virginia (Miller) Chalette. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1962 and went on to marry Gordon L Faille in 1963. Together, they created a warm and loving family. When their children were younger, they loved to host get-to-togethers and made trips to the casino often. They spent many nights and weekends at hockey rinks around the state for tournaments and games and had a great group of friends with the other hockey parents.
Barbara loved to knit and often knitted blankets and washcloths as gifts. She loved and adored her family and took pride in being called "GBarb" and "Nana" by her grand and great-grandchildren. Not a day went by when she didn't shed a happy tear thinking about how much she loved and adored her family. It is that love, along with all of the many years of memories, that her family will cherish and miss the most.
Barb is survived by her children, Gordon A. Faille, Michelle (Hap) Ashley, Sue (Dave) Brooks, Chris (Alicia) Faille, and Alan (Jen) Faille; grandchildren, Blake (Chelsie) Ashley, Megan Ashley, Lindsay Brooks, Kevin (Ericka) Brooks, Andrew (Javier) VanWagner, Samantha Faille, Brady Faille, and Zoey Faille; great-grandchildren, Bryar, Brynlee, Addie, Ella, and Madison; sisters, Gail Berg, Diane (Ron) Hall, and Marie (Don) Baldwin; brother-in-law, Jerry (Cheryl) Respecki; and sister-in-law, MaryAnn Respecki.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Vanny and Virginia Chalette; husband, Gordon L Faille; brothers-in-law, Jerry Berg and Dennis Respecki, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Faille.
Special thanks to Sara, Makenzie, and Chaplain Todd with McLaren Hospice.
