Barbara Ann Fuller

Barbara Ann Landrum Fuller, age 87, left her beloved husband's arms and entered the arms of Jesus on Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2026.

Barbara was born to her parents, Roy Garlington Landrum and Annie Elizabeth McDaniel Landrum on June 3, 1938 in Rome, Georgia. She grew up in Rome and it was there that she met and married the love of her life, Rufus Levi Fuller. They were married on March 12, 1955 before she joined Rufus in California during his service with the US Navy. After his discharge, the newlyweds returned to Rome where they raised their five children.

Barbara worked as a seamstress with Rome Manufacturing for several years and in the early 198os, joined Rufus at the Palmetto Campus of the Georgia Baptist Children's Home serving as cottage parents. Later, they would continue their ministry at the Georgia Baptist Retirement Home in Stockbridge, GA where Rufus served as Executive Director and Barbara put her clerical skills to work in the office.

They enjoyed traveling in their RV during their retirement years, but mostly, finding every opportunity to spend time with their family. In recent days, Barbara and Rufus have resided at Charter Senior Living Center at Chattanooga, TN where staff and friends have showered them with loving care.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her two brothers, Richard Landrum and Robert Landrum.

Barbara is survived by her precious husband of 71 years, Rufus Fuller and her children: Gary Cleveland Fuller (Debbie), Robert Eugene Fuller (Amie), Carla Elizabeth Fuller Ramsey (David, Paul Levi Fuller (Carla), and Tona Ann Fuller Slate (Shawn); grandchildren: Twila Harris Coulter (Billy), Gary Cleveland Fuller, Jr., Misti Love Fuller Godwin (Stanley), Jason Fuller (Frances, Justin Robert Fuller (Melissa), Jonathan Fitts Fuller (Sandra), Katelyn LaRue Fuller, Carla Nichole Biddle Gunderson (Sam), James Orville Biddle, III ("Trip") (Jessica), Julie Elise Fuller, Zachary Levi Fuller, Jennifer Fuller Hays (Brian), Brooke Fuller Leonard (Daniel, Rafe Slate (Reese), Skyler Slate Kelly (Kell); 21 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren; and their devoted furbaby, Annie who remained by her side during her long journey to Heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Charter Senior Living Center located at 825 Runyan Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37405 on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
